Congenital Heart Disease
A heart condition that has been present since birth. Common examples include holes in the inside walls of the heart and narrowed or leaky valves.
What is Congenital Heart Disease?
Congenital Heart Disease can occur in almost 1% of births. Most causes are unknown, however, 15-20% of all cases are known to be genetic. CDH is monitored throughout the patient’s lifetime and often requires regular appointments. Televisits allow patients to meet with specialists from the comfort of their home, allowing more frequent and updated treatment plans.
